It's my favourite but having problems tracking down the decals for the Romanian version. I can find the later roundels but not the prewar crosses in the right size.

I have given up looking for Romanian airforce crosses of the right size. Hannants list some for a B24 but they are on back order and no date for arrival. So it's Spanish Republican airforce.

Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the air. I am enjoying this Uglyfest so much I have just ordered an Amiot 143 by SMER. Never built a SMER kit but I have heard enough to know that I better get a fresh stock of filler in ready.

Progress report. Red paint is rubbish for coverage. I wish I had used some primer instead of painting over the green basecoat.

But looking good though.
I didnt want the red to be too bright but rather slightly faded so wasnt worried about priming first. Unfortunately 3 coats and I can still see the basecoat, couple more coats should do it. Red and Yellow paints are always rubbish at covering up a base coat.

Okay just done what I should have done half a day ago. Stripped the red paint off primed it and will try again tomorrow.
Sometimes you got to go back to go forward i suppose, looks good though

First coat of red and it's looking lots better. I know I should have used primer but I didn't realise how much the green would show through.
