    I think Nova did a special on that PT Boat a few years ago on Public Television. I've read that several of the 80 Elco boats carried as much weaponry as a WWII US Destroyer. Lot of punch for a smaller craft.
    I've read several books outlining the exploits of US PT Boat Commanders and crews during WWII and some of the things they did were beyond belief.

    Wizard, as far as I know, there's a restored, operational MTB or MGB, somewhere on the south coast of England, and I've been on a similar vessel, used for pleasure trips, to the Western Isles, off the West coast of Scotland. The latter was apparently built as a MTB, but then converted for use as an inshore mine sweeper, before being again converted for its present use.
