After Zumbach finished with BM144 it was repainted and coded 'H' (photos 1 2), given the name Halszka and serial number changed to two inch high characters (photo 3, Zumbach's EN951 RF*D behind), and had its wings clipped (photo 4). Eventually it found its way to 315 Squadron, re-painted yet again and coded PK*O still with clipped wings (photos 5 6 ).

EN951 was also to have its wings clipped (photo 7).

I found some more info about this bird. If the story is true, then the plane participated in D-Day.
