RAF Coastal Command B-17s

I did a quick search on google and found this site:

He has other color pictures of that same aircraft (LK-A). Sometimes I do a search by serial number, fuselage code or other markings. Sometimes you get lucky and identify the airplane that way. Here in the states, we now have N number registration, so it's very simple to look that up and determine the type. That is on modern airplanes only, so for vintage photos, I try for the serial number, if it is visible.
 
That 'LK-A' on that site is wrong. It states 'LK-A' as a XIIB - if you look at the original it's a IIC - it has four 20 mm cannon.
 
I know - but it's a different one. XIIb - would be a Canadian built IIB? Mk.X is a Mk.I - Mk.XI is a Mk.IIA - Mk.XII is a Mk.IIB (I think). If that's true though, that one in the picture (modern) is a Mk.XI because it has eight .303 cal - which would mean it's IIA (IIB had twelve).
