The latest today. Very minor pickups. I have been looking for an MBR-2 bis for some time that wasn't over priced. It's more like something I just wanted, not within my usual purchases.

Needed more paint, soooo I just had to add something; in the mail. Since it seems 'everyone else' (well some) have gotten one I felt the need. Perhaps a sub-GB of just this kit would be in order?

Looking at the build options I am puzzled on some of the color call outs? There are RLMs noted along with the Mr. Hobby colors with the exception of a couple. One they call Green Blue (H74-C26) another just Green (H319-C319). Being on a Luftwaffe craft was there not an RLM color assigned to these? Or am I going to have to buy some more paint!!! I don't have much room left on my stash shelf!!

At the end of the war there was a shortage of many items in the Drittes Reich. So some of colours could have been of non-standard colour palette. These could be obtained by mixing other paints. So not all of them could be on the RLM list, especially the ministry didn't work as it should be at that time. In the particular case, the green is for the JG 27 marking of the Reichverteidigung ( RVD- Defence of the Reich ) band. It wasn't applied in the factory but in the squadron by the maintenece crew rather. Secondly the kite is known from pictures of the derelict plane found in Prague 1945. So the working out of the tone may be not too accurate. A couple of the net sources says that it was the RLM 25 Green colour though. Also the Green-Blue paint is a kind of assumption. There was in the past so-called non-standard RLM 76 ( Ersatz 76 ) or RLM 99 Hellgelbgrun. The paint was identified as a coat of couple tones (FS34432, FS34554, FS34583, FS34672) sometimes similar to the British Sky colour . But it is quite difficult to say if it was true. You may find the kite profile renditions with both the standard RLM76 Lichtblau and Ersatz 76 tones.

Great info. The paints that are ordered are just 'color' fillers, not intended for any particular build. I was getting tired of trying to stretch my current stash to meet some of the off-color requirements for some minor details. Turns out I have a 'close' Green coming in, should have ordered the next lighter shade as well, it seemed closer. But that is what white is for.

The Green-Blue seems close enough to the RAF Duck Egg Green, since by your comments there is no 'definitive' hue to compare to.

The latest today. All three sellers included extras (a rarity). The Jenny was $12! I saw a review and just had to have one. The Ki-46-III came with two bottles of useable paint, but not for the one I would like to build.
