Get a couple of older kit boxes - fill with receipts or lawnmower / drill etc instructions.
Place at the top and make a big deal of looking through them once every few weeks.

The assumption is then that the rest contain similar stuff. Kits then become hidden in
plain sight.

Hint- probably won't work but it's a thought.

The knack to buying new kits. Get big ones like the Monogram B-52 or B-36, empty the kit out and take the empty box to the meeting, show, etc… telling her you're going to sell it. fill the all the kits you bought and tell her you couldn't sell it! There ya go, four new kits.

Follow me for other great ideas on how to get in trouble with the spouse! Er well forget I said that last part.
 
The lone stranger. Now just need one more 153 or 253. This one can be built into one of those or a 53. This is one of those that should say "For experienced modelers only"
