Oh man, Wurger, I just can't get enough of the P-40. The first model I ever made. And she's a beauty. When are we gonna see some pics? Or are these hangar queens?

Wildy asked for some suggestions of the P-40.So I post them her.But these models aren't mine.This is not my scale.

Concerning which one is better I can suggest these kits of Hasegawa but the AMtech or AMT ones are also nice.In the AMtech kit there are two fuselages for two different P-40.But the kit needs some work on it.

BTW A good idea Alex.
 
Acaedmy do a nice P-40C kit, Flying Tigers examples, I built Charles Olders bird.

Airframes is right about the invisible thread for wires, its great. It can be stuck on loose and tightened with a bit of heat. And one spool will last you till you can't model no more!
 
That would be correct - must have been a lousy ground support crew - I reckon there'd be at least another 3 MpH if it was 'round the right way.

I'm still not getting it, guys. Not being a man who hangs around those women who feel compulsion to use "hose" or "fishnets", what in the hell are you guys referring to?

My GF won't wear fishnets no matter how hard i try to persuade her!

Invisible thread is used by tailors dressmakers, you can get it in craft shops. It's like very fine fishing line. And a lot cheaper.

Yes Chris exactly I meant that.These stretch sprues are nice for that purpose but I'm sure you noticed that it is not too easy to get the same diameter of "wires" going along its lenght.These threads ripped out of the pantyhose are very thin and easy glued.What is more, these are elastic and you can stretch them if you want to.In addition these are of some different colours ( silver, black graphit etc...) and it is easy to fit them to all models.And the most imprtant thing these don't have to be painted.

There is an example, my Spitfire Mk.IIA of 303 Squadron in 1/72 scale.Notice if the background would be of a dark tonality or the pic was taken form bigger distance the wire wouldn't be visible almost.

Very nice model, Wojtek! I almost thought it was 1/48th scale!
I like the idea about the threads from tights, it will work where 'invisible thread' might not be to scale. You learn something new everyday!
Now I need a girlfriend, so I can get some tights..........
 
Terry there is always possibilty to put two or thre threads together.Besides threads for pantyhose are of a different thickness for instance parts where are feet,heels and for a waist and hips areas.
And you are right girls are needed but unnecessarily for tights.

Here my old 1/72 scale Hellcat model.Its antenna wire is of the thread as well.
