Bought an old Monogram twin kit....DO-335 and a P-47D Razorback. Got it on E Bay the other day and it came to $27.00 CDN with shipping. I am having it shipped to my niece who lives in Niagara Falls N.Y. for school and she will bring it to me when she comes home in a couple of weeks. Saved $9.00 USD by having it shipped to her.

Cheers,

Jeff

Why that one Wayne? It seems so plain.

Hey Jim, well sitting on its nose with some open panels suits the eduard kit to a tee, what you don't see is the sad aftermath....there is a 250Kg booby trapped bomb sitting under the nose, when the aircraft was moved the bomb exploded destroying the aircraft, injuring a number of Us servicemen and damaging some surrounding aircraft.

i remember Terry doing that one in 1/72 way back in time, might even have been the first GB !

Yep. Used a Hobby Boss kit for a quick build, and based this little cameo on the JG26 bird, just as an introduction for the very first GB.

Interesting facts Wayne

Yeah, honestly thought you reposted the picture again!

I concur! Nice job their Terry ;)

Lots of pictures of the aircraft over time though with bits and pieces going missing to souvenir hunters. Another one that makes one shudder shows a couple of RCAF crew sitting in the pit while the plane was still tipped. Lucky guys.
