As a xmas gift from my Polish inlaws this arrived in the post from Krakow. Not a plane I know much about and a quick google throws up some mixed reviews…




Could be an unusual choice for the next GB, though it may not be tamiya shake and bake ...

The instruction isn't a problem. There is not too many pieces for assembling the model comparing to the Eduard kits for instance. To be honest the accuracy of the main parts of the kit isn't the best. However fitting is good and there is no trouble with making it OOB. Anyway if you need any of my help , just let me know.

The best kit of the 1/72 scale PZL 37A/B Łoś and the only one is the kit of the old ZTS Plastyk firm. It is better to find a kit of the first edition...



or a little bit later one....




The same moulds has been using by the MisterCraft for a couple of kits of different markings. And these are offered until now.




Like all old kits, the one requires some of work and patience.

Oh goodie! I was hoping that. I have two of the oldest boxing and wondered if it had been superseded. Thanks my friend. An interesting thing about that kit is it comes with a little pot of glue.
 
Yep. In the past all Polish kits came with these pots of the glue. However the pots made of plastic weren't too air-tight and the glue just evaporating after some of time. So please check on them. Later these were replaced with glass, tightly closed phials. I have still a couple of them. The glue there is very thin because it is a clear dissolvent of polystyrene. Usually I add some of it to those thicker glues. There is no better adhesive for plastic models than the one.
 
The Mirage kit isn't as old as the ZTS one of 1/72 scale is. It is quite new one. So no wonder, there is no glue coming with the kit.

The nose glazing for the 1/72 model is of a little bit too thick walls. Because of the age of the kit it may be of a little bit less transparency. But polishing and the Future or the Johnson's Clear should help. The main problem with the part is not too good fitting to the fuselage at the top and sides. The top area of the fuselage ,in front of the cockpit conopy, and sides have to be sanded down and shaped ( fitted ) to the nose glazing as memo serves.

The 1/48 kit comes with two halves of the nose glazing. And it can cause a trouble with putting of these halves together. The fitting at the nose area is quite good.

I somehow really doubt that model shops are going to suffer through lack of purchases by certain members (er... including me!) of this forum.
It's the temptation, the temptation I tell you !
