But I've got a Meteor F3 with a conversion kit to make it a F4 for my 56 Sqn Collection, and even though I've been waiting half a lifetime for a F8, I must resist - really, I must, I ...... Oh ! Boll*cks !!!
 

Well I decided to give it a go as well, slightly different model, $32 with free shipping:



I did some research, and both of ours are copies of various models of Veda airbrushes, marketed under names such as RoyalMax, Master, AB, Spirit, and this one is an Aerograf. One might think knock-offs of an already fairly low end airbrush may not be a great idea, but I decided to try anyway.

Here is the best I was able to do tinkering with it for a few minutes, I'm sure experimenting with different air pressures/thinner amounts would yield slightly better results:



Not amazing, but still noticeably better than my warped Paasche, so I'll certainly take it.

Upgrade from a D or D+ airbrush to a C+ airbrush for $32, plus it came with a new hose and a new moisture trap, I think I can say it was worth it.
 
Good stuff with the airbrush - and those fine lines appear to be on absorbent paper towel, so you should get even better results on a 'hard' surface. BTW, Aerograph were an established brand in the graphic arts market many years ago, alongside DeVilbiss and others.

Nice Wayne - you must have quite a fleet now. The Fujimi aircraft and military vehicles kits from the 1970s were way ahead of some, and still look good today (I have their 1/48th scale Bf110, which, although not as detailed as the Eduard kit, still stands up well against it.), so I'm not surprised that their ship kits are well detailed.
