Purchased these new cutting mats from Hobby Link Japan. I am into the tools lately now that I am trying to get more bench time and thought they will come in handy for producing masks etc. Apparently the black lines are slightly raised on the mat allowing you to trace out all kinds of shapes (Mat B) and straight lines (Mat A). Looking forward to giving them a go.

 
The 'Quickboost' resin exhausts for my Bf110 builds have arrived, with great service from Model Hobbies. Nicely moulded parts too.

I went to my LHS earlier, to get some more Tamiya masking tape, and came away with the tape, some Vallejo acrylic matt varnish (which I hope will solve my recent problems), a couple of tins of paint with which to mix RLM 02 (Humbrol's No.240 enamel RLM 02 seems to be non-existent, and a minimum order is required for Xtracolor at Hannant's), and some new eyes !
