Found this interesting about 'Black 3'!
Pilot Fw. Eugen Lörcher belly landed this aircraft at Aufhausen to escape the Russians. On board was his fiancee riding in the rear fuselage. Every year on this anniversary he and his wife returned to this site celebrating their escape with a toast of champagne....

Must have been a rough landing for the future missus. After a long hard search to find Gunze Sangyo paint with reasonable shipping I finally got my first order and with the Canadian dollar slightly climbing it won't be the last. As mentioned elsewhere, when I first made this order, the price, including shipping was only a few cents more than what I pay for Tamiya paint in PG. Add on to the price of paint, the gas and the wife's blitzkrieg style shopping this will be cheaper for me. Note the spiffy little package, its not a set. Ignore the Pale Green. I thought I was ordering RAF innard green but I have since found the correct colour. Not biggie as this can be used for dry brushing over the correct colour

G.S. version of Dark Earth compared to Tamiya XF-52 Flat Earth...

You can never have enough masking tape...

Just got back from PG with nine bottles of Tamiya paint for upcoming GBs and a near purchase, more later. The paints purchased need to be mixed for camo colours as it is near impossible to get the correct colours from other paint brands mailed cheaply. Earlier in the week I emailed Tamiya about adding colours to their catalogue and this was the reply waiting for me when I got home...

"Hello George,

The Tamiya Acrylic paint line has new colours added to the line up each year. Mixing is much less than decades ago, however it is good to keep in mind that some of the model kits in stores or older production kits will not have the up to date manuals with new colours listed. A good example is the colours for RAF WWII fighters, a lot of the colours that in pervious years had to be mixed are now available correct out of the jar.

Thank you for your question.

Regards,"

I only recall the three RAF colours added a few years ago. Anyhoo....the near purchase. In another thread I mentioned that I saw a bottle of Tamiya Thin(not Extra Thin) at my far from LHS. Turns out it was this...

I didn't buy it but has anyone tried it? It does seem a wee bit thicker than TET

I've got some of that cement Geo. It's thicker than extra thin, but thinner than 'tube' cement, sort of in between the two.
I use it sometimes, but the brush fitted into the cap is too 'bulky', for want of a better description, so I was using an old, fine-tip paint brush, now replaced with the brush from an empty extra thin bottle.
It's good for those small parts, or joints, where a little more cement is needed than can be had from the extra thin, or where the extra thin might evaporate too quickly before joining parts.

The word "cement" in the name of the adhesive disqualifies it as the plastic glue for me. However I agree with Terry.
