I do not buy to often guys and you know for I do not post that much but I visited "Hub Hobby Supplies" in New Orleans yesterday about 90 minutes for me had some nice reviews on the net and FB.I have to say it was one of the better supplied stores I been in in awhile.The fact that it was met that I could not leave empty handed the only thing they lack was enough ships.Pics all kits I do not have in the collection or built in that scale.

Hub Hobby Shop was the first hobby shop I had ever visited way back in 1953. They have moved location since then and I have out lived the original owners. Still top quality kits, supplies and service. All plastics and HO trains now as well as plenty of reference material. No flying models since Hurricane Katrina.
 
Latest kit I am working on is Squadron's 1/72 Haunebu II WWII German flying saucer. They had them on sale at a very large discount (about 70% off). I am doing something quite different with it, really letting my imagination have some fun. I'll be posting pictures of the finished result, so stand by.....
 
Good stuff Kevin. I just used the Vallejo Metallic on my GB Ki.44. I like it. Crimea_River Crimea_River Andy, My wife just informed me that some masking film I ordered arrived Friday. I can't remember the brand and I read about it on another site. The guy used it in his cutter and said it worked well. I'll test drive the flexibility of it when I get home. I'll post the brand and if you haven't tried it yet on your cutter, let me know the width it uses and I'll send you a sample. If its to your liking I'll send you half of what I have as I accidentally got waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much
 
Thanks for that Geo. Don't get me wrong, the vinyl I used worked quite well but would not sit in the rib gullies. The stuff I used was the same brand as the cutter manufacturer so I figured the cutter settings would be optimal.
 
Never doing this again, pre-ordering from Airfix. I guess I assumed that shipping was included in the already stupid price but yesterday I had to pay the shipper 16 bucks on top of the quoted price to get the thing released from their warehouse. Total price in $CDN will be 87 bucks for crying out loud. Better be good.
 
I've only ever pre-ordered once, when Airfix announced their 1/24th scale Mosquito some years back. Then, when the price virtually doubled, not long before release, I cancelled the order immediately !
I'd rather wait until a new release is on the shelves, especially as there are often 'introductory' discounts on new kits from some outlets.
