But you may try the Kitty Hawk models .. these seem to be much better than the old KP old one. The last one below comes with "Red 3713" on the decal set.
I got a dirt cheap deal on a 1/72 Hasegawa F/A-18E Super Hornet. Unfortunately I cannot do it as an
RCAF bird. I have another Hasegawa kit on the way for that.-John
I watched this before I bought mine which I love. One has to keep in mind that they won't replace Alclad. Others say the paint is fragile but with care I've had no more paint lift than any other acrylic. Jan, when you do use it, shake the bejaysus out of the bottle and when you are done.....shake some more
Alclad has finer pigments and being lacquer kind of etch into the plastic. You can polish it with a cloth and various compound to really bring out the shine. This can be done with VMC to a degree but you have to be careful. Alclad is also more durable. These are the two that I've used VMC on. The Mustang fuselage is 77.707 Chrome and the entire Ki.44 was done with 77.716 Semi Matte Aluminum
I'm happy with them now that I know how to deal with their finickiness. The other pluses are they are acrylic and and the large 1oz. bottle is a bargain compared to Tamiya
Is there a reason 17 posts were skipped?
On my tablet, the next post after #17,820 is #17,838, with a red bar in between saying 'There are more posts to view - view them?'. Weird...
