Just say no to BaconI have the good replacement for my messed up Phantom from GB65. The kit does have some sentimental value (original was bought in Japan with my daughter) and will probably be done as an "On the Workbench" so there is less geterdone pressure.

Unlike some other people here... I am really trying to only get new kits of planes I MUST have when I NEED to have them. There is a Catalina on EvilBay that is a good price and is what I have in mind for Maritime. It's a year away, so do I pull the trigger now or wait till closer, so I'm still committed in case something else catches my fancy. Cause that happens all the time. Annnnnd cue all the "buy it now"!!Just hit the bacon if you think I should buy it now.

I went to my daughter's presentation fro 8th grade last night. One of the presenters said in order to save the earth, we need to say no to meat, especially pork. As we were leaving, I informed the young man I was going to contribute to the earth's demise by having some BLT's for the whole family. No meat? What?

I have a bacon and a like on the original Catalina post; and a no bacon, and two must have bacon, which is a total of 2 bacon and a like. Not enough so look for Maritime posts next fall. I did have packages on the porch today; let's take a look. This might go into Twins if I have time/energy. It's sorta impulse buy cause it was only $7.
Here is the main character in my planned diorama. This is the original marking of the DO335 that is at the NASM. I hope to show it as it might have looked after being flown to an Allied airfield. I don't know if it was flown in Europe before being shipped to USA and being remarked.
Here are the rest of the supporting cast. I have some USAAF personnel that I got a while ago.
The last item is a wheel center cap I need for my other Club project.
