There is a giant used book sale here every year and of course I go to check out what's available; these two were $10. I (and my suffering wife) plan to visit Wright-Patterson later this year. The Mustang book was published in 2022 so should have some new info. View attachment 836615
Looking at the pictures and this jumped out at me. Is this the only Me109 photo they could find? I hope more rigor is shown in the rest of the book. I'll let you know after I read it. View attachment 836616
If, after spending the day at Wright-Patt, you would like more, Urbana is home to Champagne Gal (B-25J flys regularly) and Champagne Lady, a plans built B-17G. CL is an all volunteer workforce but not done yet.

It's about 40 minutes north of Wright-Pat. Farther north and west is the Neil Armstrong Museum in Wapakoneta. Troy Ohio is home to the Waco (aircraft) Museum.

Only Wright-Pat is free. Try to get to the restoration hangar if it's open. The only extant B-17D is there.

Columbus and Cincinnati have some great restaurants. PM me if you want some suggestions on cuisine to reward a patient spouse.
