since this page has been down for a while some progress has been made on my Ju 88 modell in 1:32..
one shoot is for comparison with the 1:48 ( that is destined for the trashbin after doing the 1:32 as i see that not one part in the cockpit on the 1:48 is correct located and most details are missing,,i used to like the 1:48 in Ju 88 but not any more )
That's looking like one nice JU88 Mr G! I'm really looking forward to getting mine which, hopefully, should end up in a museum in the Czech Republic. Going to do it as the one downed as a shared kill by Josef Stehlik, October 1940, and take it out to Seesul next summer. That's the plan, anyway!
Will do Mr.G. BTW, don't scrap the 1/48th mode,. it would be such a waste! Try to correct it, or put it in a diorama, if neccessary, wiyh a 'blackman' removing or replacing a 'canvas' cover over the canopy, as protection from the wonderful Norwegian winter weather!
thanks for the comments..here is a few more shoots of the finished product..some weathering still remains and a few decals like the walkways..
but its pretty much complete..and that is even before its been put out for sale
and the workshop for modells is really nice.. got everything we need there !! and quite a few modells that awaits there turn to be made
a few comments about our Ju 88 and the modell..the grey you see underneath the U4+TK code is how it was painted originally ) the grey was used to cover over the fabric code CO+FY..on the underside the operational code was not finished painted on..so when we salvaged the Ju 88 the 4 was missing and the O from the factorycode was still present.. this Ju 88 was only 2month sold when lost but already seen action in the norvegian campaign
hope you like the pics and that you will enjoy building yours
