Definite oops...but why do articles describe any patch of airfield concrete as the runway? Really...if that's the runway, then ATC has really screwed things up (aircraft facing each other etc).

It says the fuel tank didn't explode because it was probably empty, more likely to have been full. Since it hit a commanders house and killed children that is a really big issue.
