I hear ya NFN but I wouldn't be too concerned ... they said the same thing about most Soviet equipment in WW2 and we know what the outcome of that was

I believe my next night fighter will be the J1N1 Gekko... with radar of course.
My modeling skills have improved somewhat so I hope to make a good effort on it. You know I'm sorry they stopped doing those group build awards. I was hoping to add the ones from my last night fighter. The one with the Potez 631 taking members choice. It would have been a good addition to the one I have.

Ah, Tamiya's Gekko...That's a fine kit! Less gaps then MPM's Pe-3 and far easier to build imho.
The Gekko has very nice details straight from the box and the fit is exeptionally good. I took mine out of the stash a few times to glare over the sprues and it's a great kit.
To bad they only come in green...
