The data on the S-3 wing profile, as used eg. on P-47 or P-43 seems elusive. Though one web site states it have had a 11% thickness-to-chord ratio at 30% of span. Any data around?

Thanks, Dave - that is exactly the web page I was making a hint above. Unfortuantely, I'm unable to find the T-t-C ratio at root and at tip.

We are in the process of building a 3D CAD model of the P-47. I measured the spar depth at 20 spanwise locations, as well as the chord at each location. I get this t/c distribution:

There is a NACA report out there somewhere that tests the Republic S-3 as it was on the P-47B/C/D. In my notes I have the root (theoretical join with the fuselage (not the fuselage center-line) at 15%, 1/3 span from the wing root at 13%, 2/3 span from the wing root at 11%, and the tip at 9%. I am not sure if the 9% is at the theoretical tip (ie full span from the fuselage) or if it is the last airfoil former just before the wing tip end-piece.

For Spar #1?
Tomo maximum t/c is ~15.5% Root and ~8% tip. I had the exact values somewhere but I can find them. Per NACA-CB-L5E22 maximum thickness was an average of 12.6% from 96.7 to 128.5 from centerline.
