Hello!

Why not another spitfire ?
This one is a Vb from RAF no.234 squadron. One of three spitfires donated by Free Danes community, to be flown by Danish pilots in this unit.
The three Spitfires were given the names SKAGEN IND, NIELS EBBESEN, and VALDEMAR ATTERDAG.

Is that a vac-formed canopy, or the kit part ?

This is a polished kit part. Additionally painted inside by gloss enamel.

I'm trying to figure out whether there's something wonky about the prop blade angles though. Could just be me.

Revell propeller have to remain a wooden Rotol one. It's overall accurate for this plane, but You are right- it could be moulded better.
Spinner is also a difficulty in this kit. Original spinner in the Revell kit is something like a mix of early, and late (sharper) one. In fact unproper for both versions. I used a spinner from my spare parts box (origin unknown, but surely from spitfire).

Thanks Hal - it#s one of the best Spitfire canopies I've seen in this scale, as they're normally the part that lets down most 1/72nd scale Spitfire kits.

Clean and beautiful! There are a lot of good offerings in 1:72 scale, unfortunately I can't do them because even at 1:48 I get frustrated with the small pieces sometimes. Doing a small model this well is far harder than anything larger in my opinion. A pretty bird there Sir! Well done!

Thanks for kind comments.
Surely many of You noticed a lack of rear mirror on the canopy. I have handrafted one, but it vanished during assembly. Just like that. Twizzers made a silent "click", and no sign of my mirror was ever found. Perhaps witchcraft.
I am awaiting ordered Eduard 1:72 mark IX spitfire kit, there are three different types of mirrors there. I will just grab one...
Greetings!

Very nice. Impressed with the canopy work. I know mine does not look nearly as nice there.

Just wait until you see the front windscreen on the Spit I'm doing! It's a photo-recon bird and took an "arrow to the canopy!" I glued that be-stard up GOOD! "Battle damage!" I'm sure your canopy looks like art by comparison. LOL!
