There are several of us here that are making full sized cockpits which can be found listed at the top in Start to Finish Builds in the Modeling section. The link below is to Darryl's project which he recently finished. A flight simulator Spitfire on which he duplicated the tiniest detail.

I'd already see in the past the Mk IX reproduction, and it's being a constant source of inspiration8). The Spitfire Project A58 is a jump back in time where the real Spitfires were manufactured...

I am looking for spitfire seat drawings to reproduce a couple seats for a project of mine. Been looking across the net and have found the Haynes Sub. Spit. Manual and unsure if it would have drawings. I would prefer drawings for a Mark I or IV.. Buying seats from spitfire spares is out of the question. I have the tools so why not make them? Can you or anyone help out?? Thanks-

Hi guys, was searching the sight & am also looking for the drawing for the seats. Specifically 30035 SHT 7 or any others that have the complete seat frame assembly please? If anyone can help? I plan to scratch build a Mock up from frame 7 through 12 for our SAAF museum. Any help would be appreciated? Thank you!

What you are looking for is not simple (and I probably have none of the drawings you want).
The cockpit structure is part of the fuselage shell so will be on Drawing set 30027 for the Mk I - that set is several hundred drawings of various sizes and covers all the basic structural shell from the firewall aft to where the rear fuselage attaches - but excludes everything attached.
Parts that were improved and used on the Mk II aircraft will be on drawing set 32927. This is a much smaller set as everything that is not changed is on the 30027 set. As far as I am aware there is no single drawing that lists all the differences between the 30027 and 32927 fuselage shells or any later models.
Parts that were further improved and used on later aircraft will be on drawing set 33727 for the Mk IV. This set only shows the differences - parts not used on the Mk I , Mk II and Mk III.
Same for Mk IV - you need 337 prefix drawings - this again only shows the differences from the earlier aircraft.
Mk V - 349 prefix drawings..... etc
So for the seat alone you need the seat drawing set for every model up to and including the model you are fabricating and then work back to eliminate the parts from all the earlier models that were superseded.
To add to the puzzle some mods that were designed to be used on past and/or future models also have different prefixes - eg 352nn drawings are for the Vokes filter on the Mk V
You will also need the fitout drawings - nnn34 for instrumentation, nnn35 for seat and flooring, nnn36 for electrical, nnn53 for wireless, +hydraulics, +etc, , +etc.....
This is another reason why I prefer US aircraft. You find the seat drawing number for the submodel you are working on and in the materials list it lists all the parts used on that seat and every part has its own part number and own drawing - not like the Spit where part 30035-123 was replaced by (say) part 32935-456 which was be replaced by (say) 35335-678.......

I would have expected that there were some changes to both the seat itself and the structure that goes between it and the airframe over the long production run. Unfortunately my aperture card of that drawing is almost unreadable but it does show 4 alterations to the basic seat.
Part numbers 34935/61&2 were introduced on the model 349 which, from memory, is the Mk V and are a mod to the Tuffnol seats.
And then there is all the support structure, etc

Really sorry for the late reply, did not see there were so many responses yet.
I appreciate the pictures and very detailed explanation on the subject.
I'm designing the seat for my 1:6.9 scale RC model of the MK VIII (running a 20cc 4-stroke engine) to be 3D printed and put in my Spitty.
I can kinda eyeball it, but as I've done all other items as close to realism as possible I was hoping to find some dimensions to make life a little easier.
What I've done so far you can see in the attached pictures.
I've already found a few op the plans you kind forum members have sent, but a few I did not have. I'm going to do my best to make it as real as possible.

Mods and upgrades yes..But the basic seat and supporting frame didnt change...
