Any truth in that?

Because mossad asked perhaps. You know...for a little project.
You have to have communication. And starlink is beyond control of Iran.

My point is that if he were truly against autocracy, he would've taken this step long ago, without prompting. I can't discuss the political subtext here, but it's easy to suss when you give it some thought.

May be you forgot that the predecesor of what you call Iran dictators was the sha that was an autocrat indeed, guess who were the countries that put him in the power. By the way, the same people that put the sha in the power overthrew the elected prime minister Mossadegh.

IIUC, Starlink requires proprietary downlink terminals/routers. WiFi devices may then connect to the terminals/routers. So regardless if the Starlink satellites are up, you still need the ground terminals/routers in order to communicate with the internet. If the Iranian population does not have access to the terminals/routers then having Starlink satellites up will not help.

Yes? No?

I lived in Iran from 74 through most of the 1978 revolution that overthrew the Shah. I left the nation on 3 Dec 1978. No one here is arguing that the Shah was good or that America has clean hands. This thread is about Elon Musk and why he's saying what he said.

lol ReccePhreak ReccePhreak , disliking my posts but refusing to reply to my points. If you want to stay below the radar, don't respond at all. If you have a difference of opinion, then put it out there and own it. We can have a civil discussion.

But "disliking" and still not engaging, well, that looks pretty craptastic. But I'll wear your "dislikes" proudly. Keep 'em coming, boyo.
