Hi,

I've seen that some Sturmbock Fw190 pilots wore a special insignia on their leather flying jackets, referred to as "whites of their eyes" insignia, but have no pictures of what this insignia looked like...does anybody know or perhaps have a photo of the complete insignia?

Thanks!
vh

all IV.Sturm/JG 3 pilots wore the whites of the eyes insig till and through December 1944, then a command if you will to remove the insig when the Sturmgruppe dissolved and was placed as a regular LW defense gruppe in the defense of Berlin from Mid-January 1945 till wars end.

get a copy of Priens IV./JG 3 book by Struve Druck Verlag also google Sturmgruppen and find Neil Page's/mine old sturm web-site there are still some interesting pages still floating in cyberspace

Erich, in In post #8 of the "Incredible Story Incredible Plane" thead you said:

by the way the 368th fg will be having quite a book come out soon on the hard fought unit.

Did that book come out and if so, what is the title?
