Or the Blackburn Skua wing fold system that pre-dates the Grumman.
I wonder how the two systems compare. On the Blackburn fold the leading edge faces upwards, but downward on the Grumman system, like on the Stuka.

The Grumman system is still used today on the Northrop Grumman E-2 Hawkeye.

The Blackburn rearward fold was last used on the Firebrand.

Interestingly, for the Firecrest, Blackburn instead went for dual fold origami. I wonder why the change?

Watching a power-fold equipped Grumman fold right after a trap is impressive.
