When the UK sunk the Tirpitz they new it was put out of action by a previous air strike by tallboy.The tallboy hit the bow it went right throw the ship and went 20ft in to the mud and went off there.The blast lifted the ship out off the water. The underground tolled them it would never go to sea again but they sunk it Anny why.
Unlikely, because it looks like steering the bomb was done through a circular wing and cruciform X-Y rudders, just like the Fritz X. Apparently this bomb was not very successfull. It broke on impact before detonation several times and in a couple of occasions releasing it caused a premature detonation which destroyed or damaged the carring aircraft.
