Tamiya 1/48 Bf109-E7 Trop Assembly Question

I'm in the middle of putting this kit together and came across the instruction to open a hole in A9, A19. I'm not sure what for and I'm looking at other builds on youtube and I don't see any holes in that area. What am I not understanding? Thanks

Many of the Bf 109E-7/N had the additional hole/vent at the front engine cowling on the port side. It can be also noticed in the Muncheberg's kite ....
