These raids occurred on 9th October 1943. After Schweinfurt 1 {17th August) and before Schweinfurt 2 (14th October)

The reports do not paint a picture of resounding success.
I doubt if it was a training film. More a propaganda film aimed at the folks back home.
Choosing coastal targets which could be reached with minimal overland traverse was definitely a good idea.
