Shameless plug here! I have written a children's book which has just come out in paperback.
It is published by Sergeant Frosty Press and I wrote it for my daughters when they were in the 8-11 age bracket. (They are now surly teenagers) This story has no agenda, other than to emphasise how important it is for girls to look after and support one another. If you were to ask where, within the wide spectrum of children's literature it fits then I would answer; 'The same place as the Moomins, the Wombles, Paddington Bear and Bottersnikes and Gumbles.'
A perfect little gift for any 8-11 year olds you might want to spoil this Christmas - and yes, there's an aeroplane, its piloted by the world's first and only flying kiwi bird.
