We continue to hear about the R&R Hall of Fame and their inductions of "qualified" artists.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum

I personally think this is a business of which they have little credibility. Everytime I hear about an induction, I just laugh that these artists are either too stupid or are such attention whores that they cannot see what a farce this is. Kinda like the stars in the Hollywood Walk of Fame...where the artists PAY for their stars.

Your thoughts?

The hall of fame lost its credibility when they started allowing Rap stars to be inducted. For christ sakes try and induct a Rock band into the Hip Hop Hall of Fame. They would never allow it!

Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five have no place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!

And therefore I have no respect for it.

The question that better illustrates the answer is what is it NOT. From the inductees, R&R is NOT:

Aretha Franklin
B.B. King
Big Joe Turner
The Drifters
The Supremes
Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five
Patti Smith
R.E.M.
The Ronettes
Herb Alpert and Jerry Moss
The O'Jays
Frank Barsalona
Seymour Stein
Jelly Roll Morton
Allen Toussaint
The Shirelles
Etta James
John Lee Hooker
