Thanks Vic that's the part I enjoyed the most.Looks good Kevin and what a great job with all that aerial wiring.
Thanks GeoAgree with Vic, well done
Thanks Andy I may dirty up a little rust here and there she's not exactly lighting up the internet people expect a ship to show abuse. The Scharnhorst got repainted every 8/12 months each new operation she got paint. The Paderborn scheme existed for 9 months tops. The Germans made good equipment and did good maintenance hence the reason I felt wear was really none to minimum....so minimum it will be.Really nice Kevin.
Doesn't really matter mate. You know how much you put into this and so do all those who have viewed this thread. To me it's a superb job andWell she's mounted to the wall in the computer room. The ship did not place well at the contest never really found out why I lost to a Bismark in 1/350 scale to which the rigging was over-scaled for even in 1/200 and the weathering was off the charts one could stand back 8' which is in scale about 7000' and see rust. The Bismark was on her maiden operation for commerce brand new she was pristine I have pics and the Pride of the Kreigsmarine was not entering the N.Atlantic anything less.I guess you can tell a bit miffed not mad just miffed...I think me winning first 4 yrs and a row needed to end?I will take her to Shreveport LA next March that's Regional IPMS.![]()
Thank You Sir! I even had two of the clubs members comment do not see how it did not rank better one even said this is museum quality(not quite) but was my focus throughout the build.I have the Bismarck in 1/200 I will approach in the same manner and with even more determination. Thanks Again!Doesn't really matter mate. one you can see whenever you want to. That's worth more than a prize as it is a permanent testament to your work.
