Turkish Aerospace Industries is developing the Autonomous Wingman Concept (OKU), essentially a Turkish version of MUM-T (manned-unmanned teaming). Indeed. A slow transition into a 6th gen platform seems to be TAI's initiative here.

"We've got 3 months left to the aircraft's maiden flight. Its mechanical tests are nearing completion and the lab tests are continuing. Hopefully in the beginning of December we will initiate high speed taxi tests. Around the 3rd Week of December we are planning on coducting rejected takeoff tests and in the final week hopefully we will get to perform the maiden flight."

Does it not seem like everyone who can't get a F-35 (or F-22) is just cobbling together something that from a distance looks like a Lighting/Raptor, just so they'll feel included?
But just because your design resembles an Airfix F-35 doesn't mean it's a F-35 on the inside. My money's on the South Koreans and Japanese, and maybe the Turks making the best non-American 5th gen fighter.... until at least the mid 2030s, then who knows?

- Below is a good illustration of the changes the aircraft was subjected to during the mod period. The internals were completely made from scratch again, with minor changes to the airframe itself. The cockpit layout has also changed.
