-4C ... which is about 20C warmer than we can expect for this time of year. Snow is all gone locally - I'd have to drive 2 hours + to get any decent x-country skiing in. It's very reminiscent of last year, when the snow all disappeared after New Year. Traditionally, this would be the coldest time of year. We'll definitely get a few dumps of snow, but the lack of snow cover on the ground is kinda disturbing. Again.....

25 above feels like 12. Thursday night we have a warning going into effect extreme cold warning until Friday afternoon.

Yes and I wish you'd keep you weather where it belongs. You've let it out of the gate again and it's heading my way. This does a great deal of harm to our friendship. I might freeze and would never talk to you again. Well I guess some would call that a plus…. Anyway I wish you would lock the gate!!!!!😁

Heading to the below -35 for the weekend. Brings back old memories of North Dakota. Yuck.

Just pulled the current data from the airport just down the road from me.....39F and headed for 23F or lower tonight. Been raining and misting since about 1 am, and it's not supposed to quit til Sunday. Allegedly, we'll get up to 3/4" of ice and up to 5" of sleet, freezing rain and snow accumulation before Sunday afternoon....bah.....Got the genset ready, a couple of spare jugs of fuel, a batch of fireplace logs and the wife's van full of fuel as well. Van won't be driveable, but it can make heat if needed and charge phones as well.

You mean the wine/beer aisles were untouched? What self respecting Texas ain't coming home with five cases of beer and five cases of TP

Oh, no, they about had workers doing a chain-gang to keep the Shiner stocked. I was pleasantly surprised, got stocked up for the weekend. Plus this HEB carries RABC Brewhouse Brown Ale, which is my favorite winter beer.

I'll be shopping HEB Marble Falls from now on unless I need to pick up a 'script for Mom.
