Recently completed and photos taken with my iPhone. Nothin' fancy.

First up, the ICM (1/48) boxing of their crudely copied Tamiya P-51D. I stuffed a True Details 'pit as well as square tread wheels. I scratch built the APS 13 tail radar with solder wire. Paint on all of these kits are Tamiya acrylics, specifically X11 (Chrome Silver) for the NMF. Nose checkers and spinner masked and painted. Weathering with Windsor and Newton oils. Finished with a 50/50 mix of Tamiya clear gloss and flat to kinda-sorta give a semi-matte finish. Decals from Superscale. 357 FG piloted by Lt. Myron Becraft.

Next up, the Airfix P-51D (1/48). Much of the same as above except out of box with Superscale decals. I love this kit. Excellent detail OOB. Requires a bit of attention for a good fit. 357 FG piloted by Lt. Carrol Ofsthun.

Lastly, my first Hasegawa Egg Plane. What a fun kit! I have their P-47 egg plane on the bench now, which is more "basic" than this P-51. Paints as above. Decals used were from an ancient 1/72 Superscale sheet I had in my decal dungeon. 357 FT piloted by Maj. Don Bochkay.

Thanks everyone. I truly appreciate the kind words!
It's amazing how taking close-up photos like that show many more "goobers" than I thought were there on all three models! Overall I'm pretty happy with how they turned out and will be good additions to my ever growing 357th stable. I have two more on the bench right now and will post when they're finished (probably sometime in January).

Haha! Nice little kit, isn't it? I have the Hasegawa Egg P-47 in the mix right now and it's not nearly as nice as the P-51 kit. Definitely more crude and basic. I'm sure it'll look the humorous part when done though!
I also just picked up a couple of the "Cute Series" done by Tiger Models which are basically their version(s) of the Hasegawa Egg Planes. They're VERY nice and I'd recommend checking them out if you liked building your Mustang!
