A colleague of mine and I talked together during a break today, and he told me about his grandfater, who was german.
My collegaue would like to find out more about him, and so I ask you guys:
Where do I find out more about a Friedrich Charles Göttsche - or Charles Friedrich, I dunno - and see if I can track him down?
All we have of available information is that he fell on the eastern front during WW2.
I know it isn't much, but any help will be appreciated, and I'll see if I can get my colleague to remember more about his grandfather, maybe scrounge up facts like date of birth and so on.

Thanks for anything that can be a help.

Cheers,

Maria.

Not sure where to look, I will see what I can find for you. No promises though.

I did a quick internet search using the names above and found nothing. Karl is the German word for Charles and when I changed the name to Karl, the only thing I could come up with a sailor who served on the Bismarck.

Like I said though, I will continue to try and find some info.
