Yep...you read that correctly. A mad fool in Worcester, UK, has bolted a pair of jet engines to his Pitts Special.

It's a PZL M-15 Belphegor, a jet-engined cropduster produced 1973-1981.

However...it only had one engine, not two.

Close but no banana.

I read the Wiki. It figures, some communist apparatchik ordered that a jet engine be used on an ag plane.

There were a couple jet powered biplanes before, like the Oracle Challenger and how about the Tomahawk Futura RC sport jet - though it's an RC plane, it's pretty impressive.

it was developed in Poland for Soviets - yes crop duster.... main planned mission was spraying sarin over Afghanistan.....

The Soviets did that (with ramjets) with the Polikarpov I-15 and I-153.

Curtiss XP-87 Blackhawk? A very nice looking aircraft. 4x Westinghouse XJ34-WE-7 turbojets in 2x nacelles.
