US Navy WW2 squadron patch

The National Naval Aviation Museum has been asked to identify this patch. The aircraft could very well be generic, but we believe it to be a Dauntless - 2 forward facing .50 in. guns and a rear gun. The animal facing aft appears to be a dog, but it's hard to say if the animal laying on and holding the torpedo is a snarling bulldog, or a cat, or a wolf. Anyone ever seen this patch before?

IMHO that's the VB-19 badge.

Yep ... just reminded myself where I have alredy seen that emblem. It is the second badge of the squadron approved by CNO on 9 July 1945.
