Use of Bristol B1 Mk VI turret in Avro Anson

I am trying to find information regarding the three Avro Anson modifications in the boxes below. Any help, documents or possible sources of documents, would be appreciated. Equally useful would be any RAF or RAAF or RCAF documents on these mods.

Two photos of the one and only RCAF Anson with the Bristol turret (exact same Mk IV turret as on the Bolingbroke)

And an RAF installation with Mk VI turret.

It is interesting it used an electrically powered hydraulic pump. I guess the Anson had no engine driven hydraulic pump. The Bolingbroke has a primitive engine driven pump on the left engine in addition to the hand actuated emergency pump along the cockpit centerline.

I have not worked on a Bolingbroke since 1972 but have a poor quality manual plus manuals for the B1 Mk V and VI turret but not the IV used on the Bolingbroke. If you want copies PM me.

Not confined to RCAF Ansons. Attached are images of 1 RAAF and 2 RAF airframes I had which appear to have this turret.

Yes - both the RAF and RAAF had a lot of Ansons with the Bristol turret. I have never seen any record of how many but most of the remains I saw in South Australia 30 years ago had this mod done.

The Canadian one is interesting because it was done on one of the wooden fuselage Ansons, not one of the steel tube fuselage Ansons like in Britain and Australia.

Hi Which Bolingbroke manual? The Canadian CAP 290?

I am away from home at present but I think that is it. For Bolingbroke Mk IV.

I got it as a photocopy from CNAC way back. Not good quality. I scanned it probably 25 years ago so that would not have improved it. I cannot remember if I ran Scnatailor over it.
