Dead Fishbed? What happened to that one?


The MIG-21 no.9313 was the training version of the fighter and served in the 34th Squadron at Babie Doły airfield.The aircraft was crashed during taking off.

Those were great pics of the Hind. In 1988, I had the good fortune of being involved in the recovery of a Hind in Africa. It appeared the only damage it suffered was one hit to an engine, although it`s difficult to asses damages from an external view only. I wish I had pics, but we weren`t permitted any cameras. I did get to see it fly a couple years later and remember thinking how mean it looked just flying around....like it WANTS to shoot something.
