Back on the wing today and the prime fighter/interceptor of my era. When I first saw these aircraft on a cold and foggy January morning, it was my first day on an operational station following my apprenticeship training and all I could see of these machines was the ass end burners on stilts, gaping at me the wings so thin they were almost invisible. It was January 1960.

Something very different to feast your eye on today.
This is the cross bow of HMS Victory, Lord Nelson's Flagship at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. Victory id a 104 gun first-rate ship of the line and is the worlds oldest naval ship that still in commission.Reading Wiki it is now the flagship of the First Sea Lord.
This 1/78 scale replica kit is completely wood with copper plate keel lining, brass cannons and a ball or two of string. The total construction took about 5 months. More pics will be released over the next couple of days.
