The Vought V-156-B1 Chesapeake is essentially an SB2 Vindicator and acquired by the British by taking over an unfulfilled French order with some modifications.. They were originally ordered in 1940 by the French and the British began receiving them early in 1941. My understanding is that the early Vindicators had Aluminum lacquer interiors, so the first question is would the Chesapeake also have the Aluminum interior, or would they have gone to an interior green by the time the order was being filled, if so what was that color. Next question is what are the more likely camouflage colors, dark earth, dark green over sky, or sea grey and olive drab over sky as has been suggested elsewhere?
