VVS nightfighters ???

I am wondering if USSR had any special Nightfighter units or it was up to normal fighter units to cover areas by night with what they had. My search online did not give back any info on it. And I wonder if it is not me to ask wrong questions or there is really nothing on it. I hope someone here can send me in the right direction....

56th IAD (Fighter Division, consisted of 163rd and 45th IAPs [Fighter Regiments]) was formed during summer of 43 and used A-20Gs equipped with Soviet Gneiss-2 AI radars. At first no luck but in 45 during the siege of Breslau one crew claimed 2 He 111s.
