And wonderful photography! Would love to see some closeups.

Regarding "1 Lysander Mk I K6127 Yeovil 1941"

Was this a real version?? Really?! What is the background of that abomination?

Matt, it was a trials aircraft, originally conceived as a ground-support aircraft for anti-invasion use, and for general ground support. Thought up in desperate times, the project was, not surprisingly, dropped.

Many thanks to all of you.

My father has done a new batch of 3 Westland Lysander. We already have 22 models out of the 28 selected.

In this case the new Lysanders are the following:

20) Westland Lyander Mk II LV-G 478 - Donald Archibald "Gil" Gillis - No 5 Coastal Artillery Cooperation (CAC) Detachment, stationed at Torbay St. John's harbour July 10, 1942. It was used for anti submarine patrols fitted with depth charges. Reference Don Gillis

These were the main modifications performed by my father in these models.

The engines were new as well as the cowlings, spinners and propellers depending on the marks.
The interiors were also completely re built including tubular designed. Depending the particular aircraft was also included the interior fuel tank.
The tubular structure between the wings was also added.
The main cabin (were the wings get together) was not replaced but the rear cabin was replaced by new home made one.
A master of the main wheels was made and later cloned to be used in all the models. The wheels were modified in order to represent the deformation caused by the weight of the aircraft.
The main lights were done because they did not came in the kit.
The angle of the elevator was also corrected.
Regarding the decals we only used the serial number from the orignal set but the rest of the decals were supplied by our good friend Luis Cid who kindly made them for us.
All the external armament (bombs, supplier cannister, smoke curtain instalation (SCI), etc were done from scratch.
We used 24 kits from Airfix and 4 from Matchbox.

We would like to make a special mentions to the following person who has helped us on this project sharing his acknoleged and information with us:
Jed Neil, Alastair, Phillip, Alec, Paul Waring, Scott and Jose Gillis, Nelson Sherren, Luis Cid, Pablo Zieger, Ron Smith, Johan Visschedijk, David Gibbings, James Kightly, Dave Flemming, Graham Boak, Doug and many more.
