#$%^&*#$%^&*#$%^&* morons who do not drive to the conditions and who totally ignore the speed that professional drivers (truck, bus and taxi drivers) are travelling at.
Coming home in heavy rain tonight on our very narrow country highway we were following a B double or B triple in heavy rain at between 70 and 80kmh. Naturally we were keeping about 100m back so if the truck hit water we would not be blinded.
A @#$%^& moron in a Dodge Ram with wide flares passed us like we were stopped. Given the wide flares they almost certainly had wide rims. I cant remember the formula for hydroplane speed but I do remember that the wider the tyre the lower the hydroplane speed. I do not mind them killing themselves but unfortunately they are likely to kill others as well.
For those not familiar with B trucks this is what a B triple looks like. They are not common locally but are seen occasionally. B doubles are up to 26m (85.3ft) long and B triples are up to 32.5m (106.6ft) long. Only a moron passes one on a narrow road and total moron in wet weather where one puddle can leave you blinded for seconds.
B doubles only have the rear two trailers and are limited to 59.9 tonnes.
Other (non specialised) trucks seen on some of our main highways are larger and not very common.

Once again it's the US Postal Service that is annoying me. 2nd time in just over a week a package is in limbo. Shipped the 27th, made it to Minneapolis, then to St.Paul, the Chanhassen, mn (way out of the way to deliver to me), then back to St. Paul, and over to Minneapolis again. Now the delivery status has changed from today to unknown!!!
I'm starting to think Norm on the TB show sheers was right that a trained Monkey could deliver that mail better...

DOGE cut 10,000 workers on April 1st. They are saving money. I am having the same happen here. Very irritating. Especially the Oak Creek Black Hole.

I can't say I blame this one DOGE as postal service has been terrible for a few years now, particularly in Minnesota where there were supposed to be looking into things well over a year ago, but little has changed.

You should be happy your package is still in the state. My wife ordered some meds (priority) that bounced around the southern states for a a couple weeks before returning to Minnesota a week after she needed them. And you can't refill a prescription that's just been filled.

Have you considered that maybe they were understaffed for the last few years?
At least you have real tracking. With international tracked parcels arriving in Aus the last two entries are often Received by an Australia Post facility (no location specified) and delivered with nothing in between.
With internal tracking it is often no better and 12-14 days from Sydney (1,200 road km) and 5-7 days from Brisbane (450 road km) being normal.

Regarding the USPS, my experience receiving packages from ebay, once (if) received by the New Orleans Regional Distributing Center, are sent to other local towns and bounced around until a final delivery, if lucky. At present, tracking for Ground Advantage (the cheapest I suspect) says my package had been in the N.O. center since March 21st. No one knows where it is. Past complaints have been responded with, "It's all done by machines reading the codes on the label."

Just watched a "documentary" on the Dams raid, featuring some recently restored and colourized film. Apart from some unrelated and slightly disjointed film clips, the narrator stated that the aircraft of 617 Sqn took off form "Scampton, Norfolk, in the north west of England"!
This is like saying that New York is in Arkansas in the west of the USA !
RAF Scampton was, and still is, in Lincolnshire, relatively near the east coast of England !!
