I spent 6 hours in hospital today, routine follow-up for recent problems. Four of those hours were spent waiting for ambulance transport home.
Damned vehicle suspension was terrible, and rattled and banged for 40 minutes. Now ache all over !!

I did not know that Queensland exported ambulances to your area.

The air suspensions would be great if they were not operating at close to maximum pressure because the kit in the ambulances weighs so much. Fitting larger diameter air bags operating at lower pressure should be possible but they never carry politicians for 100km/60m like our local ambo has to so it will never happen.

Sounds like a good excuse for a trip to the pub.
They are supposed to let me go tomorrow, then phys therapy. If that doesn't work I go under the knife.

Feel for you.... I just got out of the hospital myself, after a week's stay. Walked in late Tuesday with an SpO2 of 50, which is not really too compatible with long life. A week later and 30+ pounds lighter, I'm home. Unfortunately I am tethered to an O2 system for a while at least. That's not compatible with being at work, so I'm off for a while. Maybe I can get some stuff done at the house during that time.

I thought I would get some good model building time in while I'm home recovering from my back injury but the wife (who is a nurse) has banned me from the bench because she says I slouch over when I'm working there and will hurt the back more.

In solidarity, I have pinched a nerve in my back as well. Couldn't sleep at all last night and sitting or lying down feels like someone jamming a K-Bar in my left shoulder.
