What are you doing today? (3 Viewers)

And I have to report to the facility tomorrow at 1015 AM, which means that from 0600 until then I cannot even drink any water.
I've always been instructed to only sip some water as necessary, but limit it to a total of 8-10 ounces from 12 hours prior to the procedure time. I've got a history of kidney stones and dehydration, so that may be a differentiaing factor for me.

I am spending the day Not Eating. I have a colonoscopy tomorrow morning so no solid food today, nothing but Jello and clear liquids. At 1400 I have to start taking some various concotions to clean me out over the next 8 hours. You know this forum is old when 75% of the people here have posted about colonocopys.

Lieutenant: Sir, to reach the objective we need to scale that wall, swim a creek and charge up that bald hill in the face of intense artillery and machine gun fire.
General: I've got a better way. I'll send you. Call me when you get there.

Well, I got through the colonoscopy. Same results: Nothing to talk about. Told me not to drive for the rest of the day. Okay, a neighbor drove me there and drove me back home and the have added a new feature: the person who drives you has to SIGN you out! I guess people were ignoring the Don't Drive Yourself rule, which has also been expanded into "And Don't take a taxi, an Uber, or a bus."

BUT they also told me not to FLY for a whole week! When did that rule come in?

From what I understand, the changes in altitude causes gasses to expand and contract in the intestinal tract and if the intestinal wall was damaged by the 'scope, the pressure variations could aggrivate or perforate the intestinal wall.

Several days to a week would allow for healing of any abrasion(s) that may have occured.

Pointless PD and then all the chores of the afternoon my son could handle. Had a nice 18 minute nap in the chair as well before dropping off my daughter at her friend's house. Then quick run to the store with my little foot and home for the evening. And some Modelo after I turn in my assignment.

Been there, every 3 years, since I hit my 50's (I'm 63 now). I feel your annoyance, friend.
As for the question at hand, I should've done some yard work, but never got around to it.

Didn't get much done on the outside, as I needed to run a couple of errands that took longer than expected. Spend a couple of hours reviewing a pair of drawings for my L-5B restoration and then tracking down the materials to make those parts. Got to love having to buy Finnish plywood and Japanese thread for an American warbird...

Have been for a relaxing Sunday ride. Fantastic weather.

I brought another small load up to the new place. They needed more gravel on the job so I picked up 10 tons Friday and then continued home to the old place. My wife is packing up her office/sewing room and I got what she had ready plus some other stuff.
Temporary vanity I picked up for $20

Skyking1: A friend of mine can sympathise with you on the quilting... His wife crochets like crazy when working the night shift at the hospital. She does tons of baby blankets as gifts. One of the nurses she knows there, hooked her up with a patient that was quitting crocheting due to physical lmitations. She gave Nicole something like 23 huge trash bags stuffed full of skeins of yarn. Bill told me it took over one entire bedroom of their house for months while it got sorted, packed up and some given away. Last time I talked to her, she was down to about 5 bags!
