Yep, the same individual reacted the same to a few of my music posts as well...

Boy, he'll probably have a conniption listening to this next one, given his dislike of jazz-fusion:

The guitar solo over the vamp in the middle is one of my favorite. It's split into two signals, and one of them is run through an envelope filter, before being remixed.

lol, some goofball had to throw a dislike down on a music thread? Someone clearly has never learnt the aphorism de gustibus non disputandum.
I'm the person who didn't like the track you presented. As beautiful as jazz can be, so ugly is this style. You can see that people are extremely professional, but it looks more like a demonstration of their abilities than music.
I wasn't even going to argue about taste. There is an opportunity to show my opinion, I showed it.

It sounds nice, but I've never been a fan of their work, their music didn't grab me.

I get that Weather Report, or Oscar Peterson, or Soundgarden, or any other stuff I like, isn't liked by many others. I just find it strange that you'd do that. What did that do for you?

Then again, I'm a musician, so even when I don't care for a piece, I can still find things I like about it. And even when I can't, I don't bag on anyone putting it up. The British phrase "horses for courses" sums up my view. I guess I don't understand yours.

I think you and I would have a good time sitting around a back yard listening to music and drinking a few beers talking about musicians and music.

I prefer 70s, 80s, and early 90s rock and metal by the way. Thats my cup of tea, but I respect all kinds of music as an art form.

Mazactly. I have my own preferences, but I can find something good in almost in song I hear, and yes, that includes Katie Perry, Conway Twitty, or Spinal Tap.

If you ever find your way down here to Hill Country, let me know. There'll be cold Shiners and hot meat off'n the grill.

I'm down with that.

If you want, I can remove the negative evaluation. I am always interested in the opinions of others, of course if they are justified, a kind of criticism. It allows me to look at any subject from a different perspective.
