After finding that Disturbed version of Sound of silence I found this site with variations of many tunes - including two very different versions of Sound of silence
ZZ Top - One of my favorite bands. R.I.P. Frank Beard. Most of their songs are already listed here so I will just mention how I kept the names of the group straight. Frank Beard was the one who never grew the traditional Mega Beard.
Run Around by Blues Traveler from 1995. John Popper is the co-founder, lead vocal, harmonica and frontman, born 1967. Still kicking. Popper is a strong 2nd Amendment supporter and avid collector of guns, swords and other weapons. He owns a $10,000 authentic working Civil War cannon. He always carries a firearm (openly or concealed) in every state where it's legal including on stage while he's performing. He moved his residence from NJ due to restrictive gun laws. In his personal vehicle he was once pulled over in Washington State for speeding and numerous hidden compartments were detected containing 4 rifles, 9 handguns, a switchblade knife, a Taser, Brass Knuckles and night vision devices. He got off easy but had to surrender the switchblade, taser and knuckles. In this Official Music Video you hear his dominant harmonica and voice but see very little of him. He is a large man and wears a distinctive hat. If you are not familiar with John Popper it's worth the effort to look him up. Enjoy the song. Remember, he is NOT the one shown over and over on stage. 90% plus are just his backups and video extras.
Don't count on this Theme From The Good, The Bad and Ugly as being overly familiar. Here's the 6:00 minute version by the Danish National Symphony Orchestra. The unsuspected "vocals" are stunning, and I'm in love with the Wah Wah lady. The first 2 and a half minutes are spectacular but if you are in a proper orchestral frame of mind the full 6 minutes is a must. Wait for the Soprano! (Sopran)
