Something like a Gatorade bottle works better - wider-mouth. I can't imagine trying to use something with an opening the size of a soda bottle.While not a pilot myself, I know many. They all speak of the emergency 2-liter empty soda bottle with a cap that secures well as essential equipment.
Having experienced the funny shaped "comfort" bottles you get in the hospital I can tell you that sharp edges on the inside of the lip are no fun! You can get bottles specifically made for this now.
Apparently hospitals in the US subscribe to the flawed theory that one size does indeed fit all!Heck man, that'll be even more painful !
Just get a wider-necked bottle !
