Something in the uniforms doesn't sit well with me and it reminds me of WW2 training film

No... I would rather say the shirt's tag or something like that. It looks rather rectangular.
However, something else doesn't look right. I'm not an expert in uniforms, but the British soldier looks like having a "classical" Mk. II helmett. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think airborne units had different helmets... More like the US troops, no ?
